Join us on Sunday 26 July 2026 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm for a delightful afternoon on the water, celebrating exceptional local flavours and seasonal produce against the stunning backdrop of Newcastle Harbour. Enjoy a carefully curated dining experience showcasing fresh, vibrant dishes, paired with great company and spectacular waterfront views.
Your experience begins with canapés and a glass of bubbly on arrival, setting the tone for an unforgettable afternoon of flavour, craftsmanship and harbour atmosphere.
A highlight of the event will be a live Japanese chef tuna cutting demonstration, where guests will witness the skill, precision and tradition behind the preparation of premium tuna. Freshly prepared sashimi, from the carving, will then be served as the entrée course, for a beautifully curated three-course lunch.
To complete the experience, a select wine list will be available on the day, featuring carefully chosen options for perfect pairings with your meal, along with Japanese whiskey's and all your other bar favourites.

🕦 Please arrive early for check-in. The vessel cannot wait for late arrivals.
Please allow plenty of time for parking, traffic and transport delays. MV Calmer may not be berthed at Queens Wharf until shortly before boarding, so please proceed to the check-in area rather than waiting to see the vessel arrive.

- Licensed venue. Events operate under strict licensing and RSA regulations.
- Valid photo ID Required
- Children under 18 must remain under the care and active supervision of a parent or responsible adult at all times while onboard. For safety reasons, children must not be permitted to roam the vessel unsupervised, including stairways, balconies, boarding areas, and external deck spaces. Guests are asked to carefully supervise young children throughout the duration of the cruise.

- Food - Any menu provided is indicative only and subject to change without notice.
- Allergen Notice: Our onboard kitchen operates in a shared environment and cannot be considered allergen-free. While care is taken in preparation, we are unable to guarantee the complete absence of allergens, including gluten, due to the risk of cross-contamination. For guests with significant intolerance, severe allergies or specific dietary requirements, we recommend carefully considering whether the available options and onboard kitchen environment are suitable for your individual needs before booking. Dietary or allergen-related unsuitability does not constitute grounds for a refund.

- Heels Policy – The MV Calmer has steep stairs, so tall or pointy heels are not permitted. Small chunky heels are fine!
- Accessibility: Please note that MV Calmer is not a fully accessible venue due to wharf, gangway and vessel design. The vessel cannot accommodate wheelchairs. It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser and attendees to assess whether the vessel and event are suitable for their individual accessibility, mobility or personal needs before purchasing tickets. Guests should contact us before booking to discuss suitability. Lack of suitability based on accessibility or personal requirements does not constitute grounds for a refund
- Shared dining table experience: We do a seating plan! If you want to sit together, create a Group Name (e.g., “Smith Family Table”) and have everyone fill in the 'Group Name' field on the order form. Bookings done within 24hrs of start time may not be able to sit with requested other guests that have already been allocated a table.
- Bag Policy: For safety and security reasons bags larger than a purse or clutch size are not permitted onboard. All bags will be searched prior to boarding. Guest that arrive with larger bags such as backpacks, totes and other items may be refused admission without refund.
- No Prams permitted - due to taking up room and being a trip hazard.
- No mid-cruise drop-offs or pickups.
- Total cruise duration may be inclusive of embarkation/disembarkation. All indicated times may be adjusted at the descretion of AEC management, and,or vessel Captain.
- Do not leave bags or other personal items unattended while on-board the vessel. All Event Cruises Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any lost, damaged or stolen personal items.
- No need to stress about the weather! Rain doesn't stop the boat from cruising, and there is plenty inside space on the main and mid decks for an epic time! so you don't have to worry about what the weather is doing.
- CCTV & Security Notice: For the safety, security, and enjoyment of all guests, crew, and staff, MV Calmer is monitored by CCTV surveillance. By purchasing a ticket and boarding the vessel, guests acknowledge and consent to CCTV recording and security procedures.
- Professional photography and video may be captured - By purchasing a ticket and boarding the vessel, you acknowledge that photography and videography may occur during the event. You consent to All Event Cruises Pty Ltd using any images or footage of you for marketing, promotional, and operational purposes, without compensation.
- Event Conditions: All Event Cruises reserves the right to refuse entry or remove guests who do not comply with venue policies, safety requirements, or responsible service of alcohol regulations.
- Departure Policy:The vessel aims to depart at the scheduled time. Late arrivals will not be refunded. Total cruise duration may be inclusive of embarkation/disembarkation. Boarding and return times may vary slightly due to marine and operational requirements
- All Sales Final: Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organiser
